Today was a perfect example of why I love living in Portland. It was a gorgeous sunny day, which granted, is an anomaly in January. But whatever. It was clear and warm and I didn't need a jacket at all! Brian and I headed downtown this morning so he could meet with his capstone project group and I could run errands.

Brian and I went to Madison this weekend so I could finally meet his awesome grandmother, Ellen. We had a whirlwind of a weekend, but it was great fun. In typical Midwestern fashion we ate way too much, and were sent home with another ton of goodies. :)

We're already on week 4 of the foundation course, and it feels like we've been together forever. With 30 people crammed in a tiny room with as many laptops, we are packed in like sardines, making it pretty easy to get to know people!
